Breaking News: English Premier League starts on 17th June

The Premier League season is ready to restart on 17 June with Aston Villa v Sheffield United and Manchester City v Arsenal clash, the BBC has learned.

A full fixture list would then be played on the weekend of 19-21 June. Clubs authorities are still discussing the idea at a meeting on Thursday, but it is understood all have agreed somehow and that is great satisfactory. There are 92 fixtures still to finish this season of premier league.

The English Premier League was suspended on 13 March because of the outbreak of Covid 19 and it will be 100 days after Leicester City’s 4-0 win over Aston Villa on 9 March that competition will resume, with games now behind closed doors.

On Wednesday, clubs unanimously voted to carry on training but they were already busy unofficially with their training with some players.

Liverpool is currently with 25 points clear riding on the top of the table while Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Norwich City are fighting in the relegation places.

The Reds, marching to 1st league title in last 30 years, could effect on it with victory in their first game back when Another placement should occure if second-placed Manchester City lose to Arsenal.
