No ‘captaincy’ goal – Shakib Al Hasan

Shakib reveals new thought about captaincy after his comeback. Before ban Shakib wanted to give up captaincy as he was not in touch mentally to maintain such an important task for Bangladesh team.

Shakib has talked about captaincy thought at live program of Royal Velech. Shakib told, ” At first, i want to be back in game. It’s 4-5 month till now so it’s important to get back in Cricket first. Decisions will come then…it’s not for today. Now it’s important to maintain expectations from own, getting started from there where i stopped. The challenge is actually there. It is mandatory how i can step up this time. ”

” I want to start from where i stopped. This is my only challenge and not thinking of any other challenges. What will come is the subject of afterwards as well as my thinking. My goal is to start from my finishing. ”

Though captaincy decision  is upon the Bangladesh Cricket Board. BCB will think about the team at first. Shakib will come back in cricket after long period. Giving him captaincy may be negative side as well for Bangladesh cricket if Shakib is not fit that as well.    It’s important for Bangladesh Cricket to help Shakib settle down as good as possible.

Shakib has been ban from 29th October of 2019 and it will continue for more 5 to 6 months from now. Shakib’s captaincy is a big issue now, it’s more important to make his good comeback that is the point he wanted to mention.

Shakib was Bangladesh’s T20 captain. After his ban, Riad is on charge of that. If World Cup goes on right time Shakib will miss some matches. But there will some delay that is the positive side for Bangladesh to get back their best man in the squad.
