Du Plessis wants those matches back in Bangladesh
South African cricketer Faf Du Plessis expects that the scheduled matches between the Asia eleven and rest of the World eleven may take place in Bangladesh. Due to corona virus outbreak BCB had to postpone the two matches between two teams. The arrangement was for the 100th birth celebration of Bangabandhu Mujib.
The high roared matches was supposed to be on 21 and 22th march at Sher e Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. Names like Virat Kohli, Lokesh Rahul, Dhawan, Gayle, Malinga were thought to come and play in those matches.Though the games were postponed, Du Plessis expressed such events should be played even if it’s not in upcoming possible series right now.
“It was a great initiative. It’s massive for Bangladesh cricket. Any country in the world would love to host something like that. Because the names that you had there was incredible,”“You should push that to happen. I think it’s something that you should try and do every year” said Du Plessis.
